About Us

Welcome to the Puget Sound Regional Early Ford V8 Club

The Puget Sound Regional Early Ford V8 Club (EFV8PSRG) is dedicated to the preservation and appreciation of early Ford V8 vehicles from 1932-1953. Our mission is to provide a community for enthusiasts to share their knowledge, experiences, and passion for these classic cars. By fostering a sense of camaraderie and mutual support, we aim to keep the legacy of early Ford V8 automobiles alive for future generations. A wonderful example of this mission can be found in this V8-Times article “My Excellent Sportsman Adventure in Wenatchee” by Guy Generaux.

The EFV8PSRG was initiated in 1969 by Bill Steil. The club emerged as a regional group under the national Early Ford V8 Club of America, which had been incorporated in 1966. The EFV8PSRG was formed to create a local community for Ford V8 enthusiasts in the Puget Sound area. Our club’s formation was inspired by the success of other regional clubs across the country, such as the Ohio regional group and the Western New York Early Ford V8 Club. Through the years, our club has grown and thrived, preserving the rich history and culture surrounding early Ford V8 cars. Please visit MORE DETAILS for further history.

Our club hosts a variety of events throughout the year to bring together Ford V8 enthusiasts and showcase our beloved vehicles. Some of our signature events include:

  • Monthly Meetings: These regular gatherings allow members to discuss club activities, share insights, and attend presentations by guest speakers. Meeting events include a holiday gift exchange, show-and-tell sessions, and other engaging activities.
  • Annual Monroe Swap Meet: Since 1973, we have hosted the largest swap meet in the Northwest at the Evergreen Fair Grounds in Monroe, WA, with over 1200 vendors participating in 2024.
  • Annual Driving Tour: Members can enjoy scenic drives through the picturesque Puget Sound region, providing an opportunity to appreciate their cars on the open road and visit charming destinations. These tours typically feature visits to private collections, overnight stays, and various enjoyable events.
  • Annual Participation in the Seattle Irish Heritage Club Parade and Irish Festival in downtown Seattle.
  • Annual Hosting of the North Bend Car Show.
  • Participation in Other Car Shows: Our club vehicles are showcased in events such as the Greenwood Car Show, Cascade Club Car Show, and others.
  • Annual Club Banquet: This dinner event includes the presentation of awards for vehicle restoration, club participation, and personal inspiration.
  • Annual Club Picnic.

The EFV8PSRG is proud to support the Auto Repair program at the Lake Washington Institute of Technology and various charities.
