Craig & Dannie McLaughlin are known for their impressive collection of antique and classic cars, which Craig
restored and showcases in their themed garages. Additionally, they have a 3-acre, beautifully-maintained garden which surrounds their home.
The Collection
The McLaughlins’ car collection, many from the 1950’s, showcases a variety of makes and models of European and American cars. Each car is displayed in one of seven garages, highlighting its history and country of origin. There is also a fully restored 1953 Airstream travel trailer.
The Garden
The McLaughlins are award-winning landscape designers. Their gardens are designed to be both beautiful and functional. There are different
sections of the garden such as a rose garden and a Zen garden. The lush gardens also include a waterfall and a large 2-story treehouse.
Meet up
We are planning to meet up at the Tacoma Dome (large parking lot) at 9:30 am and will leave sharply at 10:00 am. It will take approximately 30 minutes to drive across the Narrows Bridge to Fox Island, and once on Fox Island, then another mile to our destination at 1128 Hyak Place. The last mile is a slow mile.
Parking
Parking will not be on their property, but immediately adjacent to it in a vacant lot in the cul-de-sac. They would prefer to have everyone park in the vacant lot instead of parking on the street.
Food & Drinks
The McLaughlins will be providing all the food and beverages. In the past they have even arranged for food trucks.
So they can make appropriate plans for parking and food, they need the total number of cars and people attending. Please show your appreciation for their hospitality and generosity by responding as soon as possible, but no later than July 15th.
If you have questions, please call or text me.

This year’s event will be a fabulous farm feast hosted by PSRG members Steve & Susan Young on their Carnation property. The date is Saturday, August 9. Festivities begin at noon. On the menu is Barbecue from Three Pigs Smokehouse. We’ll have roasted chicken, smoked beef brisket, baked beans, potato salad, plus trimmings. A Special Attraction - see Steve’s beautifully restored 1973 804 Dual Traction Lamborghini tractor in action! A very rare rig!

Come support the Eagles club where the EFV8 Puget Sound Regional Group meets each month.
It would be great if we could get some of us to display our vehicles at this event. There will be food, drinks, and music for all.

We are in for another terrific annual overnight PSRG Tour of the Year! Join us August 20-21. The destination is Salem, Oregon to see one of the most secretive, low-key private car assemblages in the country. This is the Brothers Collection, a phenomenal array of 600 primarily 1950s-1960s classics, exotics, and rare prototypes. Muscle cars are prominently represented in the 117,000 sf display pavilion.
The Brothers Collection is not open to the public and is accessible only by invitation or through special events. Car clubs receive high priority for viewing the facility. While this isn’t entirely firmed up, I am busy working out details. This would be a rare opportunity to see something very special.
PSRG will subsidize a portion of our hotel stay and entry fee. Space is limited, so if you wish to participate, please get on the list by emailing Guy Generaux. I will reply to all emails. guy.g@journal-newspapers.com
